Delton Technology makes the printed circuit boards that go inside servers, switches, and other data-center equipment.
Delton Technology makes printed circuit boards โ the flat green (or sometimes blue) slabs that hold and connect the chips inside almost every electronic device. Its specialty is the high-end kind: boards dense and sturdy enough to sit inside servers, network switches, and other equipment in data centers, where signals must travel fast and reliably for years without failing.
Most people will never see a Delton board. The company sells to equipment makers and contract manufacturers, not to shoppers, so its fortunes rise and fall with the businesses that build and install computing hardware. The company is based in Guangzhou, China, a city already deep in the electronics supply chain, which helps with sourcing, skilled labor, and shipping to customers across Asia and beyond. The business rides the artificial-intelligence boom. As companies rush to build out AI data centers, demand has climbed for the dense, high-layer boards used in servers and networking gear โ the exact products Delton specializes in. That niche is more demanding than making simple boards, so it carries better pricing, but it also pits Delton against larger, well-funded rivals in Taiwan and China, and it leaves the company exposed to the sharp swings of the hardware cycle, where orders can surge and then dry up quickly.
Back in 2002, a small maker of printed circuit boards set up shop in Guangzhou. These boards are the plumbing inside almost every electronic device โ the connections that let chips talk to each other. That humble start became the foundation for everything Delton would build.
In 2020 the company changed from a limited liability company into a joint stock company and took the name Delton Technology (Guangzhou) Inc. It sounds like paperwork, but this kind of conversion is the standard way a Chinese company tidies itself up before trying to sell shares to the public.
Delton aimed for the STAR Market, a board for tech companies, filing at the end of 2020. Just a few months later, it pulled the application on its own. It then turned to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange's main board instead, filing there in late 2021 โ a sign the company was willing to change its path rather than give up on going public.
In April 2024, Delton finally listed on the Shenzhen main board. It sold a slice of the company to outside investors and raised a few hundred million yuan, giving it a domestic platform to fund growth. After years of trying, the company was now publicly traded.
Two years later, Delton listed again, this time in Hong Kong, making it dual-listed in both mainland China and the city's international market. The point was to build a global platform โ more brand awareness and more access to capital outside China.
After the Hong Kong listing, the stock tripled in under two months as investors rushed into anything tied to AI. Then it fell more than 60% from its peak. Oddly, profits were still doubling โ but the growth slowed from one quarter to the next, and the AI-driven prices had simply gotten too high.
Behind the stock swings, the business itself was booming. For the first three quarters of 2026, revenue jumped about 82% and net profit more than doubled, fueled by demand for circuit boards used in AI computing. Delton was also preparing new factories, including one in Thailand and a high-end base for advanced boards, to keep the growth going into 2027.
Delton is a relatively small player on a very large stage. That means its growth depends heavily on winning a handful of major customers and keeping pace on technology, because a data center's design moves on quickly and a supplier that falls behind loses the socket. It is a sturdy niche business with real engineering skill behind it, but one whose quiet, behind-the-scenes work makes it a bet on the AI buildout continuing โ and on Delton staying good enough to keep its spot in the rack.
